Monthly Letter

Dear Parents and Students:

The first group lesson of the year will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd, 4:30-5:30pm. Please remember that there are no regular lessons on Group Lesson Day. So if your lesson falls on Wednesday, please think about signing up so you have a lesson that day! We will be doing Music Mind Games.  There will be a sign-up sheet in the computer lab room. You may also sign up via the Piano Event Sign-Up sheet or respond to the email you received. 

Please remember to return the Piano Event Sign-Up sheets ASAP!  Letting me know which events you wish to do helps me to develop the very best lesson plan for you! There is no pressure to do anything other than your regular lessons as I like to tailor piano study to each individual student. Some students like to perform and work toward awards; others prefer to focus on playing for their own enjoyment. Both approaches are fine. But even if you don’t plan to sign up for any piano events, please check that at the bottom and return the form. I have attached a copy of the sign-up sheet here.  Do you think you might be interested in an event or award but are not sure what it is? Feel free to contact me directly for more information. 

Here are a few calendar reminders:

• There are no lessons on Monday, October 13th, Columbus Day

• There are no regular lessons on Wednesday, October 22nd because of Group Lesson Day.

You can find the monthly piano calendars in each student’s binder and I’ve attached a copy of October for your convenience.
