Monthly Letter

Dear Parents and Students:

The student recital will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, 12 noon at the Chevy Chase Library, 8005 Connecticut Ave, Chevy Chase, MD 20815 in the lower level meeting room.  Students are asked to wear appropriate recital attire (see the attached recital etiquette sheet for guidelines).  The recital should last approximately one hour followed by a short awards ceremony. Participating students are asked to arrive on time and remain for the entire recital. Memorization is not required.  Here are the students signed up:

One of the best ways to prepare is to encourage students to “perform” for family members before the recital or record themselves playing and listening back (smartphones and tablets are great tools for this). Attached is a copy of “recital etiquette” that I will be handing out to performers this week.  This is simply a reminder of what we can all do to make it a wonderful event!

Attached please find a copy of the summer piano study brochure.  If you plan on taking summer lessons, please be sure to return the form by the end of May.  Extra forms are available in the computer room. 

The last day of regular lessons is Wednesday, May 21st.  Makeup lessons that have not already been scheduled will be held during the end of May and beginning of June.  If you are eligible for a makeup but have not signed up, feel free to email me to schedule.
